    2007 Hyundai Sonata

    I recently upgraded from an 05 Elantra to an 07 Sonata. The one thing though, was I missed my Carputer. The main thing which made this install difficult is the "premium audio" that came with the car.

    This required by-passing the factory amp in order to get direct wiring to the speakers, which are pretty good. Hyundai has a great tech website, and had the wiring diagrams to make the job somewhat easier. I removed the factory amp and put my amps in it's place.

    Now, on to the computer install. I purchased the EBY701-NP 7" screen to use with this screen bezel from Korea (http://dreamka4u.com/m_mall_detail.p...83&ps_goid=83).

    The rest of the components came from my Elantra install:

    CPU: Via EPIA MII12000/VoomPC Enclosure
    OS: WinXP Pro SP2
    Frontend: Mediaengine
    Mobile TV: Slingplayer
    GPS Software: Iguidance 3.0
    GPS Receiver: Holux USB
    Bluetooth Receiver: Globalsat BTA-806
    Keyboard: Bluetooth Freedom Mini
    Remote Control: Macally KeyPoint
    WiFi: Linksys USB
    EVDO Router: Top Global MB8000
    EVDO PC Card: Kyocera KPC650

    Main Amp: Volfenhag ZX-8300
    Subwoofer Amp: Kenwood KAC529S
    Harness: Scosche HY05

    Just showing the SlingPlayer. I can watch TV via wireless Internet (Verizon Wireless Broadband).

    I'll post more details and pictures of the install over the next couple of days. I wish they gave you more than 5 pictures at a time...

    Very NICE install! I have an 06 Sonata and I'm glad someone put a carputer in, I was gonna try and do it but I really have the slightest idea how (actually I have a basic idea).. please, if you can, give me the info I need, I'd appreciate it. It's either a carputer or a VERY EXPENSIVE double din headunit for me, but I'd rather go with the carputer. Thanks!

    Agreed, very clean. I would like to know what FE it is also.
