Ha ha ha! Yea man -
I've been thinking a lot about switching to Street Deck, seems to be a hella' nice software to use in the ride - Problem is, for the $200... I dunno man - That's $$$ -
Either way, RR has been great so far, skinnable and free - Can't complain!!

    Thanks man -

I'm currently using my own modified version of the "Digital Graphite" skin for RR - Man, it's Bad-@$$... Love the skin and cannot find myself using anything else -
I tweaked it a bit so the main Menu has a Ford logo, which is also used as a "Play/Pause" function, I added "Volume" buttons, and a larger time/clock display...
Also bigger fonts in the Audio player/browser, larger time display as well, VIS is a "video" button, and some other tweaks that fit my needs - like Green/Red fonts to match my dash and interior lights (buttons/switched) at night -You GOTTA love the Skin Editor for RR - It's some good shizz - pics just posted -

Latest addition: A Powermate knob for volume control - I positioned it close to me for easy reach - it's safer than constantly reaching over to the screen in my opinion - However, there are times where it won't work coming out of hibernation... I have to unplug/plug it back in order for it to work again... any suggestions?? Besides that, works great!
    I'll post pics...

hey fray, I've had a few usb periferals that either interfeared with boot, or not come back from hybernation.. my solution is what I call a usb break...

I use a small pcb relay to interupt the offending device either with a momentary switch that's used like a reset, or a toggle that can serve as off & on... some devices may just need to break & restablish one of the 2 data lines, & some may want the power broken too to reset the device itself.. there are dual throw relays, & there are relays that can do several resets at the same time... you can also rig up a time delay so that periferal connects say 10 seconds after the pc comes on, all automatically too...

Yea, but you're like the "Martha Stewart" of mp3car. You're building a car-pc but first you start off with a pile of sand to custom grow all the processors. Then you'll need some lead and silver to mix up the solder.........
    Failure is not an option....

It's installed by default on every version of Windows.

It's funny, I've been thinking about some sort of a cut-off/turn-on switch, but didn't know what to use for a USB cord...
