    I'll post pics...
i have the same problem with my DVD/RW unit if i leave it plugged in.

i never thought of doing what Turbo Suggests but definitely sounds like a good idea.

Ha ha ha- Thing-a-ma-jig - LOL
It's a Griffin Powermate, also available in Black (which I originally wanted) - It has a multitude of uses depending on which Apps you're running... however, I'm using with RoadRunner as a Volume button... It helps me raise/lower it when I turn the knob and it also helps me mute the music when I "press it down"... It works great - aside from the random times it won't work when I come out of hibernation, I would recommend it to anyone!!!

It's a 7" Xenarc - but boy how I wish I had an 8".... I was thinkin' about that new Lilliput, but the thought of removing and re-working the dash isn't that encouraging -
Does anyone know if those have the "auto turn-on" feature???

    Auto Turn-On -
You don't have to hit the power button to turn on the monitor, it automatically turns on when power is applied to it -
Not sure about every monitor out there, but I know the Xenarc comes with that standard...
Also some newer versions of the Lilliput monitors... but you have to do some "software" modification to make that work... Older models needed wire soldering for auto turn-on...

    Another couple of quick questions...

    1) What did you use to affix the components to the lower center cubby?
    2) what position do the plastic screws have to be in to remove the lower central cubby?

    Thanks

The components are held down by screws, some epoxy glue and some velcro (cushion) - Not sure what you mean by the position of the plastic screws, but they come out like regular screw using a screwdriver....
