A simple way to silence the competition is to put something like a 2jz supra engine with a huge turbo in a BMW.

Then u would have all the comforts of a BMW and also be able to silence the most cars without much effort.

    yada yada yada

BTW Rolling road readings are heavily influenced by things like ambient temps, tyre temps & pressure, air pressure... AND CALIBRATION!

That will be why they don't get the same figures

    Go learn some engineering!

    Go learn some engineering!
Go learn some basic reading skills... i swear, your in denial or something...

Go read the gobs of other dyno's of other 335's, they all read close to the same whp numbers as the outgoing m3, and 10-30 more wheel tq.
Here is a ton for ya... on different dyno's

    http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53937

calculating for driveline loss shows about 320-330bhp, and 330-350btq on STOCK cars...
and tuned(chipped) cars are seeing up to 380bhp and 430tq (which is actually only a ~15% gain in HP)

so how do you explain all the test with 0-60 numbers in the 4.8-5.0 range, is that because of "tyre pressure"? the car has more power than bmw stated, period... here are some dragtimes for ya...
    http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW--335i-Drag-Racing.html

why do I even bother... even bmw techs say that bmw underrated the 335 as not to hurt outgoing m3 sales... its like common knowledge, not sure why you wont accept the fact like everyone else.

your 1/4 mile tables just proved that your BMW is very similar to my 'crappy' Nissan!

I have a timing slip from Santa Pod (UK) showing a 13.6 Infact my spec is slightly higher than this one : http://www.dragtimes.com/Nissan-200S...slip-6520.html

Very defensive aren't we?!? Typical BMW driver

If only everyone in Europe didn't drive a 3-series... They're more common than Ford Mondeos now in the UK!

shaw dude... u have a nice car and everything, but sometimes you just have to accept defeat

BMW vs Nissan, is like Tag Heuer vs Casio! That's generally speaking. And in specific to the competition here, the bi-turbo vs the 200sx, is like a like a ferocious bi-sexual vs an adventurous catholic!

    behave

One thing people in the US seem short of is a sense of humour

Stop taking all this so bloody seriously!

All this started off as a tongue in cheek comment that my 5k Nissan is as fast as a 40k BM, AFTER might I add I had already said how nice a car I thought the 335i to be.

It wasn't a 'mine is better than yours' but thats what it ended up being

Obviously the BM is a far superior car! I'm under no illusions about that!

And as far as BMW under rating it so they don't show up the new V8 M3... (420bhp IIRC) - Why bother with a v8 for the M3 if the 335i lump is soooo good?

Anyway - my point was that they ARE fast, but aren't as fast as all their owners would like to think they are due to their not inconsiderable kerb weight

    Fun and games over now

And you can all note that at no point was I being nasty! NOT like the person who called my car a crappy Nissan.
