ive just bought a 2000 model st 24 but i have a double din dvd player in old car which doesnt fit in mondeo now how did u get urs to fit and where did u put the traction control and seat heater buttons.
I will start my own thread for my 8" lilli when I hav the time am too busy with dissertation at uni atm mo but a few answers quickly:
I have done away with the buttons for the screen and hidden them behind the dash, the screen is controlled by the remote control (have extended the ir LED and inset in the cig lighter)
I only have the LX version of the Mondeo so I didnt have to re-locate the button for traction and seat heaters as this model doesnt have those luxuriesu might be able to move them to the footwell if u really wana giv it a go but u wud prob hav to extend the harnesses! Alternatively u could try using smaller switches if ur good with ur lecky know-how.
To be hoest, although the 8" looks sweet now its all in, it was a real tight squeeze and required sum butchering of dash internals to do so ... so in heinsight I would probably of just used a 7 if it werent for the fact I wanted to be different and go bigger while lookin OEM !
As I promised I will post all my work log pics in a seperate "Show of your project" thra]ead and put a link here when time permits.
I'll try look back here if u guys have any qu ...
Goodluck
