what a douche bag, first he has the ignorance to sit here & claim 300hp, that's a big joke right there, & then to outright steal a whole website... I mean borrowing graphics is one thing, but that, just plain ****ed up...
& since I now had to read this whole thread I have something to add....
automatics are NOT FASTER in the qtr mile, an automatic is called a slush box for a reason, & the reason is there will always be slippage after the shift point, not to mention that most of the times the rpms are less than maxed there is also slippage, which translates into loss of hp to the wheels, a dry clutch is more of a 100% connection when engauged... less loss & more efficient, not to mention that an automatic takes MORE HORSEPOWER to actually turn than a stick, sometimes the difference there can be huge, 40-60 hp is not uncommon on an american car, a stick will usually be faster with a GOOD driver...
where the BIG advantage is in an automatic for drag racing is in consitancy, & this is more important in a lot of regards with drag racing than even squeezing out that last 10th once in a while, while at other times being down by a 10th, consitancy is a big factor in drag racing, 1 or 2 fast runs is not as important as EVERY run being at peak...
drag racing doles take a lot of skill, someone said that drag racing is more dependant on the car, but theres way more to a winning racer than a fast car, someone who isn't really heavy into drag racing can think that it's all no brainer stuff, point it straight & nail the gas, simple, but this is really not the case if you really get deep into it, there is a ton of skill involved in both the driving & maintaining of a drag car...
& yeah in some cases drag racing can be cheaper than turning tracks, but that's just on the entry level, I mean any old piece of **** that has seatbelts & a helmet can drag race, but when were talking upper sportsman & better, the costs can get crazy, it's much cheaper to field a porshe circle track outfit than it is to run a top sportsman drag outfit, & theres WAY more to drag racing than "just go straight"...
& oh yeah, that honda dude is still a douchebag
