    For 300 hp in a civic you will need something along the lines of this:

    Also, Automatics are for lazy SUV driving soccer moms.

    Um, he is driving a Civic with more than likely 110whp. Auto tranny/stick....it don't matter. His car is slow, and he is a ricer.

    Erm...this is my soccer-style pickup - 6-spd auto....it shifts quicker than ANY one can in manual...it does a 1/4 in under 13 seconds. Factory stock 4 liter Turbo'ed Ozzie UTE.

    Here is a close-up of the engine bay.

    And a angled shot...

    And something to make it stop.

    Now not all Autos are the same

    Within a couple weeks I'll have a few small tweaks to take 320 rwhp to 510-520 rwhp. Stock internals, bigger intercooler, revised intake/plumbing, and capa edit

    Would luv to meet some of them Yankee V8's along the way Not drag-racing, just real good 300kph+ road racing fun. As I said, not all Autos are driven by soccer mums.

    Soz for off-topic! Just poking some fun at you guys for tearing the poor old auto-loving Honda Civic driver apart.

    Soz for off-topic.

    You're saying that your stock truck can run a 12 second 1/4 mile? Prove it.....

    Oh, and how is that soccer style? Where do the kids fit, lol

    I'm sure one day you guys will realise that fun is not a straight line ... who care about quarter miles, put my car and a big fat american muscle car on a circuit and i'll have it beat through every corner ... Personally I think this is more fun than just flooring it when the light turns green.

    And about auto <-> manual

    Manual can shift as fast as auto ... all depends of the driver.
    you get the impression an auto shifts very fast because there is no torque interruption.
    On the other hand, if you compare efficiency, the manual will alwas win.
    And on a sidenote, if you get a DCT or an MMT you'll be able to shift faster.
