I know that bezel needs work. But this is the first time i did this and it took me such a long time to do that I don't think I want to do anything about it until prolly next spring. Matte finish would be better for sure, but I think this bezel has seen so many sandings that it'll have holes in it soon So I'd have to get new parts again.

That's pretty impresive for a first time! Congrats!

That's a nice install but I'm not crazy about the display frame. The right side looks wider than the left and really not crazy about the finish. I think a flat black would have looked better. Also, copy the new Hot Weather icons (BlueDevil skin) over to the RR folder, they look nicer.

    Good Work

Thanks. I agree about the frame's finish. It's wider on the right because that's where buttons used to be and the VGA connector goes. If I made it even it wouldn't fit with the connector attached. As it is, I already had to break pieces of the connector off to make it fit.

You should make it just as wide on the left side to keep it uniform. Again, good job

Very nice - how is the brightness at night? I want to do this to my '00 Jetta but am concerned about the screen being too bright and/or having to adjust it when it gets dark/light out...

At nite it's great. You can adjust gamma and use a darker skin like bluedevil. It does not bother me at all. In fact it looks great.
