Nislo if you want I can take a picture of the clock later and post it so you can see how it is held in there. Let me know though I don't want to waste time if you already popped it out.

    Here you are NiSlo
This is the front view you can see the two tabs. I think if you get something and gently pry up at the front it will pop out easiest.

There are also tabs in the back. I am not 100% sure which way would be easier to remove it, but if you try the back edge ensure you are gentle and don't scuff up your dash.

No fab work, but remember I got mine used. MP#car wants $483 for it. Which is reasonable if you ask me. However if you can possibly afford the transflective it is likely worth it.

    another rex.

i love what you did, and about that wiring through the firewall i ahd the same problem, i ended up taking the battery and relay box out in order to wire up my car.

also, what are you going to do about the speakers? keep em stock? the WRX speakers arent very good at all so i'd advise against it.. when i upgraded mine the music became amazing.

as for the seat, if you ahve problems sliding the chair back over the computer, its probably just that you need to cut the heated seat/eletronic holder on the bottom of it, my worklog has pictures of it if you need to do it.

other than that, awesome install, i copied you with the IR reciever thing too,now i can dim my screen at 4 am (which was the only thing which annoyed me)

so, thanks to you, my scooby is perfect =p thanks, and once again... great job

Redian thanks, and you were the one who told me how to wire thru the firewall I think, but at the time there were no pics.

On speakers I have a wagon so it is more of a pain for rear ones. I wasn't planning on doing anything there. I wanted the carpc for navigation foremost and then music. I use mp3s not flac so audio quality is already reduced and I am not really a audiophile anyway. I don't even have an amp or anything though I did run at least the remote wire in case I wanted to add it later. It might be worthwhile to upgrade my speakers still, but I just wasn't convinced about it. Speakers in doors always tend to rattle and such as they take a whole lot of abuse.

Yeah I found that picture. My seats definitely have something under them, but much more than just that bracket. There is a metal plate under the whole thing that hangs down 3 inches from the bottom of the seat probably.

I don't know if you already noticed, but you don't even have to open the cup holder to use the IR receiver. The remote works fine thru the crack when it is closed if you hold it in generally a given area.

Sorry about your car man, I saw something about you getting in a an accident.

First I suppose I should give a picture of the end. And yes I realize I really need to wash my car, but I am always mountain biking and getting it dirty so I kind of gave up.

Now that that is out of the way.

I will let people know what I did in case they need some help or motivation.

It fits. I put it where it is so that I can open the face if I slid it back farther the knobs would get in the way.
