Dude, I don't think I could handle 5" of snow. It barely gets down to freezing here.

I took pics of the cable as I put it together and will do part 2 of the writeup. At first I taped over the sheath and the plastic tubes that connect them, but it seemed weak, so I got the strongest, stickiest tape I could find. I used double side tape for car side trim. That stuff sticks good. I also pumped the middle extension sheath full of grease from a grease gun. It feels like a stock cable does when turning it.

You can also adjust the knob position if it's off a little by lifting the spring out of the big end and rotating the big round disc a tad then putting the spring back in. See the plastic tab in the middle of the spring? That and 2 smaller tabs you can't see act as adjustors and keep the spring from slipping.

ahh 5 inches in nothing but i do want to move down there as it's be around and below freezing for weeks.

I looked at mine when i took it out and figure how it worked, i'm glad it's so easy to adjust. That turned out really clean looking

The pic above is an old one. My crimps are a black and longer, but it pretty much looks the same. I'll post the pics tommorrow. The sheath has a few bulky spots where the tape is wrapped around it, but it should all fit under that black plastic panel under the dash.

I have no doubt that it'll fit at i think i'll have to go over the bottom support bar and then down, but i can't remember, it's been awhile since i had that all torn apart. It'll work tho

Old pic I'm sure all your work looks just as clean

It's not the prettiest looking thing, but hey, it will be hidden.
Main thing is it will work.
