Well I got a little work done today. Here is my template I made up

Heres the template carpeted in some black I had laying around to see what it'd look like.

I decided I liked where it was going so I made up this

Lastly here is a nice little toy I got in the mail today. It is both a ground and power distribution block for the price of one. It has 0 gauge inputs with 4 gauge outputs and has a passthru (unfused) output. I think that it'll be getting painted black if I don't decide on putting another front stage amp there (still undecided on setup)

Looks good so far. Are you deciding between 3-4 amps or 4-5 amps?

I'm deciding between 4 and 5. I'm using one 500/1 for each sub. I have the 300/4 to go active with my frontstage now, but i want to change them out.I'm thinking about doing one of these things

    1) going with a 3 way active frontstage where i'd need one more amp (either 300/4 or 300/2)

    2) going with a 2 way active frontstage, but the mids i've looked at need a little more power, so I'd use this 300/4 for my tweeters and buy another on and bridge it for the mids or buy a 300/2 (depending on the vc on mids)

    3) or finding a 2 way setup that'll work on 75 watts to the mids and 75 watts to the tweeters (just worried about mids).

I hope that wasn't too long winded.

I've been able to reach the level of sonic excellence I've always desired with a simple 6.5"/tweet combo with a passive x-over and a 150wx2@4ohm amp (as far as front stage goes). I'm not sure what your price range is, but my shop (the one winning all the IASCA and iUSAC events) told me about the new top dog component set (I forgot the brand) that was a tad better than my Focal setup. They cost about the same, though. Around $550.

If your interested, I can give them a call and find out. These guys never BS when it comes to sound quality.

BTW, it only took me 10 years to get to this high end level and I've been enjoying it the last 5 years. These cars can sound so good with the tweets in the A-pillar and the mids in the doors. I love it.

Yeah i'd be interested in what brand they're talking about. I'm looking at some Hybrid Audio comps. They're up there in price also. A new front stage will be what i'm looking for after my rims i think.

I forgot to ask them today. I'll try next week. I got up around 11 and had to go pick up me a nice used engine. I should be back on the road in a week or 2!
