Man, you're nuts . I'm sure when (if?) you finish this install it's gonna be amazing!

One thing I admire is that you are constantly changing your plans. It's not necessarily the changing that I like, it's that you you're going over it and over it until you get it right! You're perseverance will lead to an amazing setup.

I like the interior mods up front too. The relocation of the HVAC and the window/lock controls is pretty slick. You're way more daring than I am!

I hope you're feeling better and get a chance to finish this thing up. I'm excited to see the final pics!

    Hey thanks Xygar

I haven't done anything with the car other then sell off my jls. I kept one 500/1 for my new daily. I bought a 2000 Blazer 2 door with 111k for 2500 She looks perfect on the outside so i figured i'd save that amp and put it in there.

I'm going to be repainting my interior (SEM color matching), new sub box for 2 12's, memphis belle amp(s) and then it's getting bagged. I don't mess with my car too much anymore with my Blazer and bikes, but it'll get done eventually.

Just thought I'd throw my remote faceplate project in for S's and Gig's

Car looks awesome, btw. I dig the custom skin as well.

    CarPC:
Jetway MB w/1.5GHz C7 CPU, 512MB RAM, 120GB SATA, M2-ATX, BT, WiFi, OBD II, Mobile Impact, and RR

    Sound:
JVC KD-BT1, Crunch 1500 Watt mono, Power Acoustic Fubar 12" DVC, factory speakers for now...

Well I should be getting back to this project pretty soon. I think i've decided on my amps and I just have to decide on how many subs I want to run. I still want to bag my car and have about half of the stuff I'll need, I just need to get the gauges, bags, and rear plates from Jayson. The computer hasn't been booted up in over a year so I'm sure I'll have to mess with that some and update my RR and music.

Here are the amps I decided one. I looked at these amps a couple years ago, but they are hard to find in good condition so I was turned away from them. I still really liked them and ended up picking up a very nice PRS-X220 off ebay last fall so that kind of got me started. Then just by chance this week on DIYMA I saw that someone had a PRS-X720 that they were planning on selling soon and I PM'd them expecting one in so-so condition and this is what I found:

I have never seen one for sale with the original box let alone a birthsheet and boy is that sheet impressive 682 watts at 4 ohms. They are said to be stable down to 1 ohm with adequate ventilation, but I will pry be running it at 2 ohms.

I have my eyes on another X720, but it's missing it's endcap so we'll see. I'm also watching for another X220, X320, or X340 so that I can go active.

Two years since its ran and it boots right up!

I'm debating on building a new skin for road runner or going with centrafuse. It appears roadrunner has changed some so I don't even know how easy it is to makes skins for it still. Guess I have some research to do tonight.

My new amp should be here Wednesday so I should be starting my new amp/carputer rack then.

I did some looking around and I think I'll make a new skin on Roadrunner after I get everything mounted up.

I got my sub amp yesterday and decided to tear apart my speaker amp to see if it was possible to mount them like one long amp end to end. Looks like it'll work. Only thing is I can't decide between one sub and two and If i decide on two that will change the amp setup a little bit. Hmm, guess I'll have to see. With just these two it's about 26 inches long

Mounting the sub inverted doesn't effect the sound quality.
