2003 Hyundai Tiburon......2 x custom builds

Let me introduce myself first. I'm new here, and my name is Pete. I'm a soldier in the Army, currently over here in the middle east. My car, a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon, has been my pride and joy for the past few years. Me and my family recently completed the build pictured below. Mind you, we had never done this before, we all just have carpentry skills and basic modding know-how.

Now...I say 2 builds, because this first build pictured, is the one that we worked on specifically for Nopi this year. It was all ripped out 2 weeks later to make way for the second REAL build, which is absorbing about $15K out of my pocket. The pics from that build, as well as a more full list of details will come within the next two months or so.

Anyways...let's show you what I have...well, had before, lol:

Kenwood KDC-8025 head unit
Infinity Kappa 6.1 components
Infinity 7520a amp
Two 12" JL W7's
Two JL 1000/1 amps
Two 19" Flat screen monitors
Mini PS2
8.5" Dash monitor
Two 4" door monitors
Audiovox DVD Player

Before the harness bar and side pieces were painted, and some before the monitors.

Here is the second build....currently under way:

In the shop right now getting:
Complete custom fiberglass enclosure, everything from the headliner to the hatch to the floor. Having two 15" screens put in the floorboards, two 15" screens in the doors, a 8.5" screen in the upper hatch, two 8.5” screens on the dash (one on each side), a 10" touch screen center mounted on dash. Complete custom dash with gauges moved to the center, and surrounded by 6 x 2 1/16" gauges. Everything will be hooked up to a carputer with w-fi and GPS, and an Alpine multimedia manager. This will all be lighted with professionally installed red lighting, inside and outside the car. Pics in a couple months. Here are the components being installed currently at TRAFFIC JAMS CAR AUDIO. These are in addition to what was already in the car.

Carputer with wi-fi access, USB ports in dash, GPS
JL 300/4 amp
2 x sets JL XR650 components for doors (possibly Diamond Audio sets instead if I get a chance to buy them)
1 x set JL VR525 coaxials for the rear hatch
Two 15” screens (in floorboards)
Motorized lift in trunk for two 19” screens
Two 15” screens (in doors)
Two 8.5” screens (one in each side of dash)
10" touchscreen (center dash)
8.5" screen (upper hatch between components)
Completely fiberglassed custom interior
Complete professional lighting install
Viper SST remote start alarm
Custom fiberglass steering wheel

wow. not a big fan of what it looks like...i think its kind of ugly. but i apreciate the work you put in and think its a wonderfully crafted product. your sound setup is mint. top quality products and a really clean set up. the tiburon "T" is a nice touch. very subtle.

i am really looking forward to the rest of the interior upon completion. good luck with it, im sure it will look top notch.

Yeah...it's not everyones cup of tea...but I love it. Thanks for the compliments. I really appreciate people who actually take the time to look past and see the actual dedication put into something.

Wow. That is a well done job. You have done SO MUCH custom work inside and out. And more than that, you've done it well. I could believe you bought the car stock like that, even though at the same time I wouldn't believe that... if that makes sense. It would take me a decade to do what you've done. Inside and out you've got a slick car. Just a few questions: What do all the screens display? What is the car, I don't recognize it and there are no emblems. And how did you fund all this??

lol.......Thanks man. The screens all displayed the DVD player, as well as the PS2. I have one custom emblem on the outside. The car is a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon (yes....a Hyundai believe it or not). I bought it bone stock at the end of 03, and started working on it towards the end of 04. Most of the interior work in the pics was done last summer. Then it all got ripped out sadly, lol. But that's ok. The new setup will be 50x better. I find the stuff all over, and there is A LOT of custom stuff done on the car....mostly by me.
