    2001 Prelude MAC mini - Completed with Head Unit

    I finally completed my Carputer project. Before this I have never done anything related to car mods.

    Specs:Mac mini 1.66Mhz Core duo
    Lilliput 7" wide Screen
    CNX-P1900 with MacPac
    GlobalSat BT-359 Bluetooth GPS receiver
    Old Car stereo as Head Unit
    Homemade noise filter
    Hand made front LCD cover
    WinXP Tablet

    Head Unit

    LCD controller

    Did you run connections from the face to the headunit ?

    Yes, to the white (6-pin) header, top right coner of the first picture.
    I only have a five-core spiral cord, so the face's backlight have to go. It is not readable in the dark, but I only have to set it once.

    Hehe, not from the start; I had all the gear sit there for a few weeks, and was thinking I will be wasting my time. But once I settled on the screen mount, the rest came naturally... .

    I did the same but I used a wire harness from an head unit we had in the shop
