The hood pins are staying on the car, otherwise I wouldn't have drilled the hood. The covers still need put on, but the hood needs painted first.
Please tell me those hood pins are not staying on the car, they are hideous

Hideous though hoodpins may be- they are going to save roof\windshield.
I've seen one too many carbon fiber or fiberglass hoods go sailing....
I like your hood pins. I think that CS6 hood is also awesome. This is my first post of many...
I have to say This is the most exciting site I have ever found! It looks like people here are very cool and helpful for the most part.
Hey guys, I'm new to this, and I currently own my first mustang. I used to drive a ricer. My question is, what exactly the hood pins for?
Race cars don't have a hood release. So the hood pins are there to keep the hood down and make poping the hood up easier.
They are also there to keep light weigh hoods down. Many times fiberglass hoods are so light that at higher speeds they can come up.

Ahh ok. Thanks for your help GtiVR6. I assume I have to get hood pins as I'm currently in the process of getting a carbon fiber hood. Do the hold true for the trunk as well? Oh and by the way, the mustang posted as my avatar is not mines, I just like itI own a firetorch red mustang.
My motherboard went out so I just purchased the Jetway J7F2WE2G-OC. This should definitely be an improvement over the Epia M10K. I also just ordered a camera so I will try to get some good pics up during the upgrade and reinstallation.
