Have confirmed that as long as Franson GPSGate was running it tricks the software in to thinking that there's a GPS on a COM port. That's why I wasn't seeing the nag. Even with the simulation turned off, still hid the nag. I had to completely exit to program to make it show again.

Wouldn't this make it easier now that you know the window title is "Warning"?

First post updated. Reackaged v.3.9.1 released. Lets see fi the nag screen code is right, and if the other functions work. Post bakc your expeirence.

And this time all the files are included

when are you going to use the new skin files? did you not get my zip I e-mailed you? It included larger versions of all buttons with 3 variants(norm,over,down)

No new skinning features. I need to get the features already done to work properly, and only then can I go on.

It would be a very good idea to post any repacks or updates /patches to the very FIRST posting of this thread and add links there and also establish beta testers within the forum that have the necessary hardware installed to be able to test the new revisions as they are released. Sure everyone can download and use the new revisions , but only specific individuals will have a responsiblity to test and report findings. The obvious choices are already performing this function on an ad-hoc basis. - Did not see that you reposted to the first post with the repack . So this is good stuff!

And even though it is MUCH APPRECIATED that d_sellers did a repack on the version that you released that was incomplete and had a bug or two - shouldnt this version be sent to you so that YOU can release it? Reason being is if I repack with some graphics and some add ons and release it in the forum well it "muddies" the waters with lots of different versions that may have this or that , with this type of graphic and such.

Just some ground rules so to speak that could also be added to the first post?

These are just some simple proven strategies to do version management. Oh , beta testers always get the early release of the latest version - thats the incentive to be a beta tester.

Thoughts?

Oh and after installing the latest repack of iGskinner the NO GPS Nag is no longer present on a system that does not have a GPS attached. So there is one + vote for It Works!
