WOW. There's been a bunch of posts in here in the past few hours.

Thanks to Hell-Stopper for posting the res hack steps. I had managed to get rid of the mute button but have not played with it too much more than that. You saved me a bunch of work.

Well, since I'm at work now, might as well get to messing with iGS, iG, CF, RR, and FP.

The res hack above removes the close box from the gps info box.. notta big deal as the x is still in the corner but just thought i'd note it

is there anyone here who is working on a good Road Runner interface (brushed metal)? Im sure ALOT of us here would like to finally ditch D3 and use iG with iGskinner embedded like D3 in Road Runner!

How are you assigning the buttons you made in that screenshot above to pop up certain windows in iG?

I started. The brushed metal isn't all that difficult, even for me. However, IGS has it's own skin "scheme", and it is very different then RR. Perhaps if the D3 skins can be set up to send the appropriate command to IG/IGS, it can be done.

Perhaps leelo and guino can comment. I am not hopefull. I plan on just embedding IGS/IG into RR, and creating as IGS Skin that is just like the brushed metal skin.

@wiredwrx... thats what i meant i guess.. i want to embed igs/ig into RR , but would that mean we can have RR audio controls on the bottom like D3? or would we just get the top embed bar with the "X" and "arrow" buttons?

Which frankly -beats the **** out of any skin for iGuidance thus far.

I have got all the buttons working except for the ones not implemented yet in the iGskinner code - i.e. Toggle 3D View , Favorites , Save ,
and a few others. My hide and unhide of the iGskinner menu will be the embossed text at the bottom. Which is "Gucci" but may not be fat finger friendly on the touchsreens...

Perhaps this should be the base interface for iGskinner?

In the attachment it shows all buttons including the Select View Button which is not enabled at this time. I may stretch it to include the other buttons as well.

Is it available for primetime distribution - Not at present as I want to have all the buttons that are included in the skin actually perform thier necessary functions and it looks like that wont happen until iGskinner is updated...

@E30vert... i think the main buttons on the screen should be bigger so that it can be usable on a 7" screen.

Frankly, your skin might look great to you, but it might not look great to others. Sure does not work for me -- but that's OK because everyone has different taste. That's the whole point of skins... you can adapt to what you feel is best for you.

Please feel free to make as many skins as you want - just don't come posting this nonsense about how much better your version is, and how it should be the base skin. [rant]

Thats the beauty of free speech. You can respond however you like and so can I . Its an "open" forum so - GET OVER IT.
