You could try dissabling the No GPS Nag as that might be bringing up the menu if your setup doesn't nag you about no GPS (I have never seen that nag even though I have ran iG on 3 different systems without a GPS. I think you only get it if you have the GPS set to an invalid [un-openable] ComPort).
For me, it only worked 3/4 times I opened it. And I didn't even have the getright droptarget running.
My code is pretty simple. It calls up a windows API to go through all the running windows. It get the process ID of iG and compares it with the process ID of the window it found. It loops through all of them. Once a match has been made, it goes in for the kill

I think we should add code for other formats to our modderbutton. This way the images won't take up so much memory.

I can do skins like in RR and Frodo, BUT there will be solid space behind them. So that's not going to be implemented.

Read through the whole thread. I want to use this via FP. In FP I set my GPS application as external and pointed it to the SkinBedder program. When I do that it doesn't get embedded into FP anymore and hence I can't switch back and forth from FP and IG.

    Ideas?

FP can launch AND embed either Destinator, iGuidance or Routis. Any external applications that are launched will not be embedded. FP only looks for window names for the GPS applications that it supports. ANY EXTERNALLY LAUNCHED APPS WILL NOT BE EMBEDDED.

Skinbedder, although it launches and embeds any GPS application, will be entered as an external GPS application in FP and so will not be embedded.

Surely, if this is the case, can't he simply change the name of the window of SkinBedder, so that it mimics one of the 'supported' programs? He could just change the window title to Destinator, or whatever, no?

No. Once you check off "External GPS", it won't look for any window.

Hmm, I'm trying to use *just* SKINbedder and iG (no frontend). Why is that the Sb window cannot be larger than the actual resolution? Attached is a screenshot at 640x480. Note the bottom gap. Sb is nudged 23 up and 5 left. Settings for window sizes (both Sb and iG) are 1000x1000 to push it to the extreme. Please ignore the teal box at the top left as I did a quick screenshot for this post and didn't clean up what I was working on.

    Thanks,

Frodo programmed it to look just for the iG window, as he hardcoded its title and class name. You can edit the frodo INI to launch SKINBedder, but frodo will STEAL the iG window away from us
