1. It does not embed "within" the Road Runner skin , but instead chooses to be the top most window and thus it overlays the RoadRunner Skin. With the default Windows style title bar at the top and such.

When attempts closing the iGuidance GPS window - It will close the iGuidance window however - It leaves the instance of SkinBedder as a process that is running and it does not terminate when iGuidance terminates. So when one goes back to the menu to click on GPS again there is an entirely new process launched for SkinBedder while the other one is still running! So the second time SkinBedder launches iGuidance there is a different display as the first instance of SkinBedder is still running.

I will put together a video and add here so you see what I mean.

For some reason, RR is overzealous in what it captures. For isntance, RR captured Firefox because the title included SkinBedder

Change the title of skinbedder to something eles, and mod RR accordingly.

Changed the program name from skinbedder.exe to skinner.exe and modified the path within Road Runner and now it appears to embed as long as I define the name of the Window as Routis in Road Runner

No skinned buttons present though??? and the X to close the GPS skin leaves the skinnner (i.e. SkinBedder) process open still.

I don't know how RR wrote it, but it works for me.

Define the window name as the window name of the program. I'd remove any parts of skin fron the filename or anythign else.

PM guino and ask him why.

I think you changed the wrong thing.

Inb RR, change the "GPS window name" to "E30vert"

Then open the skinbedder INI, and find
[MainWindow]
WindowTitle=SKINbedder.

Change "SKINbedder" to "E30vert" and see if that helps.

I changed both of them to my name, just to make it easier for me to remember.

This SKIN works differently then other skins. Each button is a different BMP, which is placed on the screen where the INI tells it. As such, there is no Skin, just a set of graphics to be integrated into a skin. Therefore, you can put the buttons where ever on the screen you want, in a pattern that you like.

Oh ya, and I have been working on graphic files all day for the OSK, so I haven't had a chance to put together a "skin" the way I plan on using it.

Well if I just launch the skinner.exe (renamed Skinbedder) without any front end it gets rid of the nag screen, the no GPS nag if one is not present ,then launches iGuidance full screen. However, no skinned buttons on screen.

Then I just click the RED X in the upper corner of the program window to just close the window. The window does close , BUT the process does not and remains at 99 % CPU utilization. Then I launch skinner again and it opens another process and same results. This is all outside of any front end.

The program should be closing the process once the X is clicked and its not.

I've had no problems embeding Sb in RR. My window title is XYZ123.

CF on the other hand, I cannot get the status bar nudged off the screen. Changed window size, nudge settings, even going to extremes on some numbers but its still show. Probably just haven't found the right combination. Will play with it some more later.
