PRobably a bug... rembmer like with the old version of iGSkinner? There needs to be a different resize code

Open up your taskmanager and end task anything that is not labeled system (except explorer.exe).

I also have the same issue with Skinbedder not closing, and leaving IG running when I exit RR. Also, it starts another instance every time I click the GPS button on the Main RR screen.

RR not closing the launcher was a problem with iGS. I'm still getting the same problem. It's not too big of a problem (at least in my eyes). When restarting RR, Sb is already running and ready to be embeded. CF, however, does close iGS and SKINbedder.

I don't have the problem with multiple instances. I can browse all around RR and come back to the GPS with only one instance. Perhaps its the skin you're using. I'm currently using zot's but the Alpine (Amber-s) and BMV2 skins work fine (just with different window and nudge settings).

Perhaps RR is looking for something when it executes the launch, say a window name, class name, who knows what, to see if it is already running. With Skinbedder it is it not finding whatever it is looking for. Perhaps GUINO can chime in and let us know. My guess is that it is looking for say the "window title" of Skinbedder, but for whatever reason, when you "navigate" away from the Navi Skin, SKINbedder does something, and instead, the active screen name is the name of the program/window title for the program embedded into SKINbedder.

Of course, this is all conjecture, cause I know nothing about programing or coding.

Have you tried changing you window title in the skinbedder.ini? I have mine set to XYZ123 since RR will grab a window that is close but not exactly title. 0l33l commented on how RR grabbed Firefox when he was viewing the SKINbedder thread. Since RR saw a window with skinbedder it emded it even though it was the wrong window. Guino comments about it a few posts up.

You'ld think it would try to find an exact match first and then close matches, but I guess not.

Ya, I named mine, MICHAEL. I set it as such in the SKINbedder.ini and in the RR Config.

I wonder though if for some reason, the "focus" is lost from the Skinbedder screen (Named MICHAEL) and then the underlying IG screen (Called IGuidance I believe) is not recognized as being the proper program when I again try and enter the GPS mode through RR.

See, as I said, I am no programmer, but I am not sure, shouldn't RR search for the name MICHAEL (Cause I set it that way in the RR Config) and know that the program is already started, no matter what screen has "focus"

Total conjecture, on my part.

Sadly, skinbedder doesn't work iGuidance 2.1. 2.1 actually supports a full-screen mode which gets rid of all the borders.

If the developers were to need...an *ahem*..evaluation copy of iGuidance...
