    What gives! which version works?

Diggin through the pages and pages and still coming up with nothing.
Hopefully someone can help answer a few of these questions i have.

Which version is the latest? Im assumeing its the 2.99999999999999999

What exactly do you have to do to get IG to embed without any borders or toolbars visible? Everytime i run SB i can see and drag the IG window around inside of SB. No matter what i do its just not embeded correctly either when i run SB standalone or embeded in a frontend (RR).

I dont care about the skins or buttons all i want is IG to open without any nag screen and to not have any borders or menu bar visible. Ive seen screenshots of other people with it working but i havent been able to duplicate this with ANY version of SB.

    Am I the only one?

thanks to anyone who can help

i havnt gotten it to work either.. although i havnt tried it with the gps plugged in. ive only tested without the gps on my desktop and havnt put too much effort into it.

ive been using igskinner since i dont really havnt had an urge to change yet.. but maybe someday ill get off my *** and try skinbedder with the gps and see if it works.
I wish i knew how to do fiberglass work...

well it embeds the application fine, the problem is i can still see the title bar, file menu and status bar at the bottom.

I also have only tested this on my laptop with no GPS mouse, if i dont work on my desktop it never makes it to my car. Im also starting to wonder if the lack of a GPS reciever on my laptop and or my screen resolution an issue?
The native res for my laptop is 1920x1200, does it matter what res my screen is set to? Should it matter?

If you get a popup message about a missing GPS receiver then it will NOT work.

    WHY?
there is a pop up nag screen, not really anything different about that pop up. I configured the auto-it script to send ENTER to both pop ups, so it dosent sit there waiting for me to click it.

I think i have it sort of working, but still trying to figure out whats the difference.
Basicly i just created a new user account on my laptop, logged in without changing anything ran skinbedder and magicly it worked 100% (still no gps mouse). Not sure whats different between the two user accounts (the laptop isnt even 2 months old). So, i think im going to chalk it up to (it works) and try it out in the car in the morning.
Still would like to know why it works on a new user account and not the one ive been using. But if it works when i test in the car then who cares (crossing fingers).

ok, ive been up all damn night fiddleing with this and i think i finally figured it all out.
I think the lack of a gps reciver (like you said above) is causing a slight issue but easily worked around. After i got it to not work in the new user account by not telling autoIT to cancel the gps error message i figured it must not be canceling the pop up fast enough. So i replaced your startup.au3 and startup.exe with my own that kills the pop ups as fast as the computer can do it and now it works 100% everytime.

    now to finish this skinning

That is an interesting solution. It is strange, but know, that not having the GPS mouse attached causes issues with the program embeding. Not sure why, but attaching the GPS (or perhaps, faking a gps with an emulator or something) will cure the embeding problem.

i think it was just a timing issue with the second pop up makeing the process take to long, but if you kill it quick enough problem solved. Wish there was some kind of disclaimer saying this, and i wouldnt have wasted so much time trying to get it to work. but all is good now.
