    boris: Thanks!

m2x0p9x: I'll begin an upright version once I've got this one hammered out.

I added the letters, and made the bottom row a little taller:

I think for touchscreens you definitely want SQUARE regions. If the buttons are slanted, does it mean the regions will be slanted too (I doubt it, but thought I'd ask).

And also, if the regions are not slanted ((which I suspect is the case), it also means they will not match the buttons boundaries on the image, which is of course not a good thing either!

I would strongly suggest goping with non-slanted buttons.

I figured some people would want rectangular buttons, but I thought this had a more dynamic feel to it. Like I said, I'll make one soon.

I'm fairly sure you can use drawPoly instead of drawRect to draw the regions for the slanted version. So, the button you tap should still do what you think it's gonna do.

you still have a problem with slanted buttons, even if the regions match. It's hard to explain, but what is gfoing to occur, is that depending on how high/low your finger hits the actual button, it might end up falling in the region of the adjacent button, especially when you are closer to the border. Remember, these things really do happen in touchscreens! the pressure point is not always exactly where your finger makes contact...

As a part-time GUI/Web designer, I'd say no to bells and whistles like slanted buttons or transparent buttons if there's no pratical use for it. Usability should be first priority. Thanks for the effort.

Hmm... well, it's hardly transparent, more like translucent. Looking cool is definately a close second priority, otherwise we'd all be using the Windows Classic GUI. My computer is running XP, but the interface is almost all Mac (Mac theme, Y'z Dock, Y'z Shadow, and custom icons).

And, I think if the regions were drawn as rectangles, there wouldn't really be a problem. But, give me a few more days and I'll make the upright version.

Looks great mercury... thanks for your work. One thing to remember is that the street list will be centered above the keys, and I need Up/Down/Page-Up/Page-Down keys on the sides of it (either all 4 on the right or two on the left and two on the right, I leave that up to you). Thanks again.

Oh, and I didn't get around to trying the Class thing for FP yet, but I will look in to it this weekend. I'm pretty sure Delphi classes do not have to start with a "T". I have a delphi component that is JComPort (because it was made by my friend Joe, modified from a TComPort), and I think I can do the same thing with a window class... we will see.

That's correct, unless you create the window in API.

RPM_VR4, did you get those transparent buttons working? Would you please share them...I hate how the current buttons hide the turn indicator in IG. Thanks
