    napster and winamp

I just finished downloading my napster songs on my carputer and they work fine on napster. I'm using winamp 2.95 with roadrunner. I went to play them with roadrunner and it takes me to a site saying that i need a player with windows media rights manager v7. then i have to download windows media player 10 or 11 but i can't get 10 or 11. any other way to get around this?

Get rid of what is probably in my top ten list of things I absolutely hate, DRMs.

Just download tunebite or something and get those nasty DRM's off your legal music.

And your title says Winamp, your thread says Windows Media Player? Which one? And how are you not able to download them? Everyone can... Even little torrent babies with the pirated copies can download it. Is there something I'm missing?

I want to use winamp but when i tried to play it with winamp it wouldn't let me. The webpage that appeared when i couldn't play them led me to windows media player to get a player with windows media rights manager v7. Windows media player 10 says it's incompatible with my version of windows and so does media player 11. The install wouldn't go thru but i did download them.

Do you have the napster client installed in the car? With my ToGo account I can cache all my DRM tickets on whatever PC I have Napster installed on. After I update Napster I am able to use WMP or WinAmp to play my DRM files.

I currently have Napster install in the car buy one of my upcoming projects will be a stand-alone Napster license manager.

Also WMP 10 and 11 might be looking for the MS Genuine Advantage software.
