Is there a way to delay startup applications from opening?

    Hi.

I just have a quick question. I was wondering if it was possible to delay an application from starting up when the computer boots. There are some applications that I do not neccesarily need to start up and have them running right away. Id rather have the essential programs start up ASAP (like winamp), while the less important programs are delayed.

The reason I would like to do this is that in a carpc, boot times are very important. I have a spare webcam laying around and I figure why not use it to record my driving (incase of an accident or whatever). But I dont want the program which does the recording to take up valuable boot time.

You can create a batch file and set a delay.

This may not be the best site but the first one that showed up on google:

Hmm that startup delayer programs looks promising. Now I am wondering if windows services can be delayed to squeeze a few more seconds from boottime.
