(WINAMP) No Sound through REAR Speakers ???!!!

HELP!! here is the problem. I have a ROADIE External Soundcard, its wired to the Sven4 and to my stock speakers.

I am having a problem, when using winamp to play music, I only have sound going to my front speakers but nothing to my rear speakers. This problem had never happened before, this had just started a couple of days ago.

I used Windows media player to mplay the mp3's and everything works, i have sound in front and rear speakers, but when i switch to winamp I only have sound in front speakers.. any Suggestions ???

Try enable hardware acceleration in preferences

winamp>preferences>output>your sound device> select directsound output dll>configure>device> check hardware acceleration

Do you still get sound from the rear with wmp now? Most sound cards have a setting to turn on 'Enable stereo sound expander'. It may be labeled something else on yours but cruze around your windows volume control in advanced. I've seen labeled as magic 5.1 also.

What it is designed to do is take a regular stereo signal and route it to a 5.1 surround system...or in the case of a carpc it routes to front,rear, sub, center.

i will give this a try, just to see if it makes any difference in sound .. thaks.
