win2k nlite and my computer
Ok so I ordered a carpc off ebay.
this exact one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/E-PC-...spagenameZWDVW
So it is running windows 2000. It only has 128mb of ram and it starts super super slow. I was going to download nlite (torrents) and use it with this version of windows 2000.
This PC does not come with a windows 2000 cd or a cd key.
Am I going to need any of this when installing nlite??
Like, am I going to need to install all the drivers again after nlite installs? I do not have the original drivers for this motherboard.
Does nlite completely whipe the current windows 2000 clean of its drivers and start over or does it keep the settings the same?

well I did this without any reply.
For those of you that want to do this and do not have a windows CD, you will need it.
Luckily I had an extra windows 2000 cd laying around.
You do not need any cd key or anything like that, just the CD because it needs some files from the original OS. You can also chose to install drivers and choose what to install and all that, it is very user friendly.

There is a free little tool on the web that will tell you your currently installed product key. Then you can reinstall Windows from scratch with a CD of the exact same version the key applies to. You are still using your key that you own on the hardware the OS is originally installed on so I think it is legal as long as the person you bought it from installed it legally.
