    Decodong yEnc

    does anybody know what kind of file extension if any this is. i usually get my mp3's from newsgroups and more of these files are appearing and when i download the whole file i get "decoding error". anyone please help!
    99.9% complete.

    yEnc

    yEnc is a compression method used by the client that posts the file. You simply need a newer version of whatever usenet client you used to download the mp3s (ie: Newsbin, Forte Agent). There is also a program that un-yEnc's them, but thats way too damn complicated.

    well thanks for the reply but i just did that. i searched the web and found that i needed the laterst version that decodes them
    99.9% complete.
