Webcam surveillance software?

I just added a webcam to my car and am looking for some good software to run it.
I want it to constantly record video when the car is running and keep only a couple days worth before deleting the old ones. But I would also like to be able to use it as a forward camera.

I have tried Digi Watcher and it's pretty good but has a few things that make it unusable.
Mainly, it doesn't work with standby/resume. When the system resumes it does not resume recording and can't even find the webcam anymore. I have to restart the program to re detect it. Also The window is not resizable so I can't embed it nicely.

The things it does well are motion detection, time stamp overlays, auto start recording, splits files into 20 min chunks and deletes old files, and uploading to ftp or webserver, streaming.

And as a wish list it would be great to have a gps speed and heading overlay.

Or better, Minicam (both Minicam and Capture share the same thread.). Minicam has all the dvr capabilities you want, I think, but it also imprints GPS and OBD info on top of the image. You can download it here.

if that doesn't work for you try WebcamXP, there is a free version.

I use both. But both programs do not have a photo taken function. Thanks.
