Ive been working with Diablo on this plugin (testing it while he writes it), and I can tell you that the code has been re-written to not use Centrafuse GPS calls. The problem was, it was coded to request the GPS long and lat ten times per second which meant that it wasn't as accurate as it could have been. Diablo has re-written it to monitor the COM port and every time a update occurs, its known by the app.
Its early days, but there is a lot of work going on for it. Stay tuned, and I'm sure Diablo will update you all with all the latest events.
This sounds awesome!
Well done lads! keen to trial when released
New Car PC Build list in progress
great effort, and a fellow audi owner too lol. I'd be honored to help you "test" through yarra blvd lol. but seriously i'd love to try it out when its in beta.
Cheers Domino. I must say Yarra Blvd makes for a good testing ground. Quite enjoyable.
The last Alpha which I sent out to about 10 people is starting to look quite stable and after some recent fixes is about ready for public consumption.
That being said, I've decided to take the plugin a little bit beyond the centrafuse environment... watch this space -> | |
I still cant seem to get it to work
I'm guessing maybe because I dont have maps for my region in destinator that destinator pick up my location and therefore this plugin wont work?
or is it running independantly of destinator?
The plugin runs completely independent of any other GPS application, it reads the raw GPS data, it doesn't require maps or anything.
If nothing at all is happening within the plugin make sure that Only the racing plugin is assigned to the GPS COM Port you are using, don't forget to use XPort if you need to.
