I've mentioned it before, but I don't think people really realize the "cool" factor that clutter brings. I'm planning on using clutter as the core gfx for ng3 (2009). Here are some youtube clips of clutter stuff:

It's a crossplatform API for cool stuff like this. I'm not positive, but I believe google is using it in their upcoming android platform.
