hi everybody,
ok ive got a new problem... i am using the dvd software that came with my pioneer 106s/2 slot load dvd rom. when i play a dvd i dont get any sound. i have a fv25 with a 600 mhz cely and plenty of ram. i am also using win98 but that shouldnt cause anyproblems.
the cd sound wire from the dvd player was too short so i was unable to use it, but i dont think it would have caused this problem.
anyone have any clues? or recommend another cheap program to use?
thanks

mp3car system is currently FUBAR and finances do not allow for a correction of that situation
Real computer hackers use a rotary cutting tool on their motherboard.
The problem is not ur cd audio cable....the audio transfered throught the IDE cable. Check the program audio configurations..make sure it's not on mute.
If your not using the cable, you need to set the digital CD audio. Go to your device manager and click properties on your dvd. In the pop up, go to the properties tab and check the Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device.
This should enable digital audio transfer thru the ide cable instead of the optional audio cable.
Funny, that I never had to set it and I never use the cable![]()
