    PowerDVD XP and Choppy playback

My current carputer is a Celeron 700MHZ, 256 PC133, 20 GB Toshiba Laptop drive, LG Combo CDRW/DVD drive on a FV24 using Windows XP SP1, and the only way I can watch a DVD without it getting extremely choppy is to set my resolution to 800x600 in 16bit color instead of 32 bit,

Is there anything I can tweak to watch this movie in 1024x768 and 32bit color without it chopping or will I have to break down and get a 900MHz PIII

why bother with 1024x768 anyway???? most widescreen DVD's have MPEG2 streams with a max resolution of 768x500(ish) anyway.... so bumping up your res wont make it look any better really...

i would say the weak link in your system would be the video card tho..... maybe look at uppiing that before anything else..
    Project - GAME OVER :(
