    2.5 vista ultimate---- about to dual boot the laptop
    2.5 xp pro------------
    1 windows 3.11 in the garage
    1 dos 3.1 unopen in box (nib)

    Why not just get a certified serial to usb adaptor?

    I'm running vista 64 on my quad core phenom build and it smokes the 32 bit OS's running 32 or 64 bit software.

    Dynex has discontinued the one i have even if you by the newly designed one, u still run into the same problem.

    even belkin site has stated that "There is currently no driver for Vista 64-bits."

    what are you running?

    Looks like it's a PL-2303 usb-serial chip. I found some Vista drivers here but I have no idea if they will work for you.

    update on dual booting

    didnt work.

    xp keeps crashing in the loadscreen.

    I even tried to youtube it and i was doing everything right but it just continue to crash on me.

    back to the drivers

    vista 32 will unoffically work the drivers, but 64 is a different beast but i will give a try

    i couldnt find where files where extracting to so i made windows search still no luck with the drivers

    is there another way to dual boot with vista perinstalled?
