Any information about the licensing of Windows XPe would be great!
I am currently looking to develop a distribution of Windows XPe for a system I am making. The problem I am running into is that in order to get a distribution that doesn't expire after 120 days I have to buy the developer kit for $1000.
I was wondering if there is anyone who has access to this kit and can build me a custom distribution (or at least compile one that I make) legally. I would be willing to compensate anyone who can do this for me.
If you can't do this but can recommend a company that does, that information would also be helpful.
Thanks everyone for your help!

in addition to the tools license, you'll need to get a device license which last I saw was somewhere around $90-$100 each.

expensive way: pay all the licensing fees and go to town
hard way: enroll back in school, download a free copy of XPe from the CS department.
easy way: http://ubuntu.com

So, the other question is whether you really need XPe at all? I've done a lot of work with XPe and unless it's for a retail product with very specific needs, its probably overkill. I don't think it gives as much benefit with the cheap processing power and storage we have nowadays. For hobbiests/consumers nLite is usually good enough.
