If I minimize RR, I can use the trigger as a shift button and configure two of my buttons for left/right mouse buttons.

I don't know if this will help you any but I've attached my last profile I used with my Logitech Extreme 3D. I think its pretty well commented with three or four sets of shift keys.

What I did was determine which keyboard combinations weren't being used by my computer for global hotkeys by any other program and came up with a set for joy2mouse that had no conflicts. I then used the RR Keycode program to determine what I had to add to my keytbl.ini (that too is attached). With the combination of the two, I could make Road runner do whatever I want.

Basically, I mainly only run roadrunner. So I am semi happy with my results. However, I occasionally use streets and trips for gps, or minimize rr to make changes/additions ect.. So I would like to be able to use my joystick with those functions as well.

This switching capability is built into Joy2mouse. Basically, you need to create profiles for the programs you want to control. I have several, i.e., one for IE, one for Firefox, one for Winamp (standalone), etc. Whenever a program has focus, Joy2mouse automatically switches to that programs profile (I believe the profile name has to match exactly the window name).

That's a great reference, but like BlueZX3 said in your DOUBLE POST, you left out the Button SHIFT+CTRL as well as the Button ALT, Button SHIFT+ALT, and Button CTRL+ALT character sets. I use the CRTL ALT sequences frequently cause most other programs don't.

Thanks GizmoQ. I will give it a try. I did make different profiles, but it didn't seem to work. After I closed joy2mouse, the profile would change back to sidewinder gamepad.xml. I'll try again now that I have more info. Thanks for the files. I'll look them over. I'm sure they'll be helpful.

I didn't know about the Button SHIFT+CTRL, Button ALT, Button SHIFT+ALT, and Button CTRL+ALT character sets. I'll compile a list of those when I get some more time. It may be a while, that's a lot more buttons. Good to know.
