True. I'm just seeing this from the mouse standpoint because that's your similated input. Wondering of the mouse will never be at the same location on the screen when the app is loaded, so it would never be at the same starting point. As with the Wii remote acting as a mouse, and the touchscreen on a carpc also being a mouse, it would throw it out of wack, no? i guess it's one thing if the user just opened up the Inclinometer and left it, but what if the user went to switch to the GPS or chance songs on the CarPC, than went back to the Inclinometer, wouldnt' it be out of calibration at that point?Originally Posted by XSiveJeff
Wouldn't this change for people running different resolutions? And going from a window'd move to full screen?Originally Posted by XSiveJeff
I'd say stick with what you want to use, and we'll get what we need to make it work. There's no point making custom software for every hardware that everyone wants to use, that would be endless. Choose what you want and go from there. Maybe use the Wii controller for the cheaper one, and than have the ability to get a more precise, more expensive one for those that want to, but you'll be programming forever if you do it for the 100's of different pieces of hardware that you *could* use.Originally Posted by XSiveJeff

Still waiting to test it in my vehicle. I mounted the sensor inside the case for an xbox memory card. The alternator in my Montero Sport decided to die on me and I won't have the cash to replace it until my tax return comes in. So far, since I am still using my carpc in the house, I have only done a little more work on the software. I resized it to fit in the plugin area in Centrafuse and managed to remove the windows frame and title bar. Now it plays nice with CF after embedding it as an external application using Apploader. Tonight I will see if it behaves doing a standard embed in CF without Apploader. I'll probably start building the GUI for calibration and vehicle image selection as well. My copy of Photoshop and Illustrator are on my regular desktop PC so I can't do much in the way of graphics until I rebuild the MOBO in it.
I'm also working on a 2 channel stereo analog VU meter display that reads levels directly from windows so it will work no matter what program you use for A/V display.

Nice find my friend! If I can sort through the russian translations, I can use a lot of the info. They used the same accelerometer that I have just started working with. I will need to read that thread very thoroughly.
Thanks!
I play actually with the source plugin code (iCarDuino.dll by Bersenev) that is in C# !!!
I have asked to Bersenev if he accept to give it's code to the RR community.
I wait it's answer !
I registered on that site and sent him a PM as well. I've also been playing around with iCar DS. Interesting front end. It is fast but I find it a little confusing. If Frankenstein made a CarPC front end, it would probably look like iCarDS, made from pieces and parts that don't really match each other. I preferr more continuity.
