    Radio from phone to PC??

Is there an app or plugin for a front end that would allow you to stream your radio from a smartphone, over bluetooth, to a PC and allow you to scan up or down at the touch of an on screen button??

I'm looking at getting the HTC Touch HD, which is running Windows mobile, and noticed that the built in radio has RDS and wondered if it was possible to relay the sound and controls for it over bluetooth??

I also have a Motorola S9 bluetooth headset which allows you to listen to your music and control your music via blutooth at the same time through the headset. Is there any way of adapting a similar approach so that the phone see your PC like an Audio Headset with controls??

You could probably use MyMobiler to control the phone then just use standard audio pairing to get the music to play through your pc. Just do a search for MyMobiler, it's free IIRC.

I do not know how HTC have done their radio part, but there is no problem with a Sony-Ericsson and bluetooth. Ie making the sound come out of the speakers in the car.

I would doubt that HTC have done it any other way

As far as I know, it's only Apple that have to do the things the extreeeeeeeemely complicated way...
"oh, you don't have an Apple unit in your car... well, to bad for you then"....

You need to research A2DP and AVRCP. They're the 2 protocols in the Bluetooth driver that allow remote control of the music interface. Good luck getting someone to support it, I just called my provider asking them how it worked and got left with my thumb up my ***. Nobody had any idea what I was talking about.

I believe Macflurry wants to be able to control it from his PC and not from the HTC. Luckily the HTC is WinMobile, MyMobile is basically a remote for any WinMo device. Your HTC screen will show up on your PC screen and you can control it straight from there. Then you just need to pair it with A2DP to stream the music, no need for AVRCP.

Yeah, I was hoping use the phone as a radio receiver with the sound coming out through the PC and the controls embedded into the front end.

    Thanks for your helps guys.

I know I'm a bit late to the party on this one but did you ever have any luck with this? I know you'll have to have some sort of media player that supports A2DP and is capable of sending AVRCP commands... I wonder how hard it would be to write a Winamp plugin that could do it. I'm still digging around but I'll report back if I find anything.

My cars been off the road for a few month and the engine rebuild has taken priority so the pc is on the back burner at the minute.
