    **Quick question (easy) for newb!

Is there a way to use a program from a smartphone, pda, etc. that has windows mobile on windows xp?

specifically, a program with a .cab extension?

    Thanks!

I didn't quite understand your question. If want to mirror your WinMo device so you can control it from XP, you can use MyMoblier.

    http://www.mymobiler.com

edit: I re-read your question again and I think I understand now. MyMoblier is not the solution to your specific question, but I think it will do what you want and then some. Basically it displays your WinMo device on screen in XP and let's you remote control it from there. So yeah, essentially you can use that WinMo app in XP.

I think you are looking for a windows mobile emulator. I've never tried one, but they are out there.

hmmm. I was hoping it wouldn't be too complicated. All I want to do is use a program designed for windows mobile on my carputer (without using the phone at all).

The emulator could work, but wouldn't it be pretty hard to get something like that to work in a front end?
