My computer has no provision for a power button, because of this I'm triggering hibernate via a com port and the win xp (sp2) generic UPS service. I have a relay connecting pins 4 and 8 on the com port, when the relay opens it triggers hibernate. The problem is when I hibernate via the com port it doesn't seem to tell RoadRunner that hibernate is being initiated. If I hibernate via the shutdown menu it works fine. Why would triggering hibernate via the com port behave differently as opposed to using the shutdown menu?

I thought this was a RoadRunner issue, here's the original post-

resume-issue

Wasn't there some software floating around that would trigger hibernate via a com port?
