Well what if have checkbox for beta. As in the Downloader will be well aware that it's beta. And we can even hVe some kind of beta disclaimer when you go to download an incomplete or possibly buggy software?
I think OS and incompletes should be done via sourceforge. I've been very hesistant to put any of my stuff on appmart even if it has known bugs or its in beta testing. Appmart should be for completed products only.

Honestly i think it needs to be something more noticible than a check box. With some developers building timebombs n such to make users update there beta builds it needs to be clearly stated that the program may need to be downloaded repeatedly to get the program out of beta and into final release.

Thats a whole different category....and ill add to it certain developers who put tracking scripts in their plugins to keep track of installs.
How bout a limitations box where they list any limitations on the software....aka expires in 30 days, requires registration, feature limited, etc. Thats pretty standard among download sites.

Beta apps/plugins/skins should not be there.
Just completed stuff.
And as JC says, any limitations (registration, expiry dates, limited functionality etc) should be listed
