    Front end for non touch screens

    Hello......I am kinda new to this and my install is in a dodge grand caravan....my computer is a asus motherboard with Pentium III Processor
    512mb SDRAM
    Nvidia 8mb agp gpu I (know dead end hardware but will upgrade soon)
    Windows XP pro (think of switching to ubuntu 9.10 but dunno yet)
    17 inch gateway lcd monitor (I kno..... huge)
    but I wanted to know what is a gud frontend program that i can use with a non touch screen monitor and external application luncher and blue tooth and ipod integration and stuff like that i will also be using a wireless remote control with mouse emulator insted of a mouse and a small ps2 usb keyboard software like ride runner is a pain to use with out a touch screen......pleaze help

    With linux your only choice at the moment is nGhost/linuxICE but that really needs a touch screen (or mouse) to be used.

    openMobile and centrafuse are both pretty easy to use with a keyboard but feel free to go down the list and check out all the rest:

    o ok because thats what i m using now I want one one that supports bluetooth

    Well alot of front ends are pretty versatile. With CF I use a Sony RM-X5 remote control to control the PC. You can easily take a joystick and repurpose it to work with the car pc.

    wat is a gud bluetooth software to use like just stand alone bluetooth software that i can run with along media engine

    i jus pluged it in and it worked and you can configure it in the little configuration screen under remote config

    Hello, I use the Riderunner with a skin made by me, which I control with a USB joystick economists, who are like the playstation pads. Also, I add a rotary encoder circuit, it makes me very like the use without touchscreen.

    My CarPC is a pent III 933, 256 ram and winXP.
