    Best Vertical Front End

I am looking for a windows based front end or skin. All the normal ones seem to be great if the widescreen is set horizontally but do not translate well to vertical. I have done the basic searches but to no avail as of yet. (I say yet cause I am at work and have not had time to exhaust every search option I could think of yet) Does anyone have a couple suggestions or better yet pictures of vertical front end setups?

    Thanks

I'd have a chat with this guy in this thread.

I believe he's using RR, and DFX4 with some modifications.

To my knowledge there is no "vertical Front-end." However, RideRunner supports skins in any resolution you choose. My Tablet setup supports both 1024x768 and 768x1024, so I have supported the development of what we call "Tall Screen" skins.

The most recent is sargeant's cmdRR skin:

One that I used for a long time is davidp's second tallscreen:

There have been quite a few others but most are either unreleased or never finished, like Altudinous by BiGGy:

But he and monkeyracer got sidetracked with their philosophical discussion on the conceptual side of building a tallskin and the development (on the forum) stopped.

One of the nice things about RideRunner is you can run any RideRunner skin in any resolutoin. So an existing 800x600 skin CAN be run at 768x1024. The "can" part raises some issues. Because of the way RR draws text and graphics your results may vary - clipped buttons, chopped off text, tiny text, circles become ovals, squares become rectangles, etc. The thing is, most of the newer skins can be modified to make them useable on any screen regardless of the resolution difference between the original and the displayed .

And other front ends can do any resolution including tall resolutions and scale perfectly to fit

Are you doing the rotation in your monitor settings or did you also want a front end or skin that could rotate the entire screen 90 degrees?
