search playlist for specific song using keypad and char display

Is there any plugin that lets you search your playlist or mp3 dirs for a specific song and then loads a playlist containing possible matching files? Preferably using a keypad control similar to writing a txt message on your mobile phone. Since i use a char display it takes ages to go through finding a specific song on the list.

    Hi,

Don´t know if you´ve ever looked at the markuszehnder plugin (www.markuszehnder.ch) .

The new version lets you browse through your harddisks... selected playlists etc.etc...

Doesn´t have the "writing text message on your mobile phone" though.

MPXF does that... it's a frontend for MPXplay, which is a DOS mp3player.

Advantages: NEar instant boot time. Can play mp3's on a fast 486.

Disadvantages: Not excatly easy to setup. MPXF development has also stopped, but the source is avalible.
