i was going to be a beta tester but ive been too busy, so ill give my input here:

on the front skin that is a circle, try making the whole circle "rotate" when you go left or right. instead of just having the yellow designate the selected button, have it rotate. this probably isnt good for touch screen though.

on the mp3 or cd player, have it play a visual instead (or BOTH) in the play screen. Milkdrop vis for winamp is the best ive seen, and you can add file name text, and the and time (even in cool font).

    Milk Drop Vis
that is example on media engine

    http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/atta...=&postid=99602

That is the screen shot of my media player coverd by the vis (still displays info for track)

    http://www.sharkshock.com/fonts/fontsaut.html
those are car fonts you can use in milkdrop vis (pontiac "goodtimes" is the one i use, and it looks great)

if you can, try to take the blue windows border off

VCBB5: Where'd you get that toyota background I see in that one screenshot? I just got my screen and I've been looking for something really similar to that.

First official is probably still a few weeks off ... Just adding in functionality!

I've been struggling to keep writing as a bunch of extra consulting work has come my way (not really a _bad_ thing ) ... just plugging away a few minutes every day.

Also went off on a tangent with the GPS system - I actually have a system running using Destinator (may or may not be included in the next release - still polishing the system and trying to determine if I need any additional licensing from the makers to distribute the required files).

All in all, the system is progressing, just a little more slowly then I had hoped ... but high paying contracts need to take priority for now!

Should be providing an update to the community in the next few days (think I've said that in a few PMs to a few people - bear with me, we're getting close!) ...

BTW - for those that PM'd ideas, or added to threads, I've accomodated a few of your wishes - you'll get some recognition (as well as the product) shortly!

    cheers,

    GTC

Destinator - cool, I would say though if you have Destinator you have the rights to use it with your software...
