Unfortunately I don't know where to get the Realtek SDK..
I will fire up google, for helping out at least by finding it.
If anybody else knows where to get the SDK, It would be very nice to send it to Shambler who offered his help one post ago

I've sent an email to Realtek asking if they can help us and provide some code examples. If I get a response I'll also ask about whether they're happy for it to be posted online as there seem to be a few of us interested in getting something working. My hardware is hopefully coming for the weekend so I'll cross my fingers that Realtek are relatively forthcoming.

I've emailed them as well around a week ago, still waiting to hear back.

Have been reading this thread with interest as I have an EZcap usb dongle which uses the realtek 2832u chipset.

The unit is shipped with Presto PVR and Blaze I have not spent much time with Blaze but Presto plays DAB very well but reports that the dongle is not connected or ready in FM mode and windows media centre plays DVB-T ok but strangely fails to recognise the unit when it comes to radio period.

Using the Realtek players posted on this thread the FM one works fine but because the DAB version does not have a UK area option I cannot test with this.

It is a real shame that I have to use 3 pieces of software to get all the facilities out of the unit although in all honestly I would probably be happy with just FM with DAB as a bonus extra.

I have to admit I am completely out of my depth when it comes to anything like programming but as noted above the Realtek FM tuner works for me albeit without the niceties of presets, memory and a nicer skin so I want to ask a question the answer to which is probably obvious to many but is it possible to re-skin this app and then use it as a plugin for RR ?

The Blaze software actually works really well, I've been playing with it for a little while.

It can be skinned, but there are no other skins already out there and the details in the skin file are a little hard to get your head around (for me anyway).

Someone could skin it for RR - just making the buttons larger for a start would make it a LOT easier to use in the car.

Unfortunately I'm still waiting for the Realtek guys to get back to me, and my CarPC screen just died so I can't test in-car.

I did a scan using and it seemed to pick up some channels for me. I'm UK area but I did a full scan using another area ... I think it might have been eastern europe ... try a couple of them and you'll probably get something. I think my signal is relatively weak so although it picked up the channels tuning to them just gave me corrupt audio.
