Yeah I did consider the dual tuner deal. Probably overkill for me..
Was depending on how fast you can get the changeover happening you might be able to interrupt the radio for quick checks..
Either that or have it so that when DAB dies it drops to FM automatically and you have to switch back manually....
Or even cooler if you start making it set your station and DAB/FM based on your location

    hi there !

Hey guys, how are u ?

I'm glad that I found some people, using an USB Dongle with the Realtek 2032U Chipset.
I would like to use this stick to receife FM Radio in my CAR via CAR PC too !!
But my skills in programming are toooo bad yet...
My Idea was ( I am using Centrafuse, i guess 3.0 ) to use RADIOTOR, because Radiator is available as Plugin in Centrafuse !

And Radiator accepts external ddl-files to import.
But since 2 days, i am not able to find out, how I can get RADIATOR (downloadable here: http://flesko.cz/programs.html )
to work with my Realtek USB Dongle.

The dongel brougt the Software HDTV 6.0 which can be used for both listening to FM Radio or watch TV (DVB-T).

Has anybody the skills and the will to help me (us) out ?

Getting Radiator working with the realtek stick equals getting a workable plugin for FM Radio on Centrafuse..

    So far,

    ÍKL

Standalone exe needs integrating into Centrafuse

Been messing with the SDK for what seems like an eternity - don't know c++ so it's been a steep learning curve and lots of trial and error, not helped by wanting to try it/test in car, then having to remove tuner and try on home computer. Anyway, edited realtek SDK program to include saving and loading scanned channels, display station name, increment and decrement channels via buttons (< >), and seemed to have hibernation issues sorted - lots of trial and error as it seems program needs to have main focus on resume - would have easier just to close program on hibernation and restart on resume! Have got station name and signal strength overlaid on bitmap which is what I want to display over the centrafuse track/song name window. Been messing around with transparent/region bitmap dialogs!

Does anyone know how to receive information such as what buttons are pressed or media playing etc from centrafuse into the c++ program??

In my c++ radio program I need to know that centrafuse is playing radio and not media, and then need to know when the channel up/down buttons are pressed.

Has anyone else got this realtek SDK working as a plugin??

    Thanks

colshorty sounds like you have done an awesome job so far! I haven't had a chance to play much further than testing the sdk and my C++ knowledge is about the same as yours it sounds. Probably need to have the dll accepting "input" and then rework centrafuse so that when you push those buttons it sends them to the dll..

daOEKL your posts get moderated for the first so many posts, it is annoying but until you get your post count up a bit you posts will be delayed till a moderator reads them. It is done to prevent spammers. I haven't looked at or heard of radiator..

In my first post here (yippi yeah ) there is a link for the freeware Prog Radiator.

In Centrafuse under "advanced settings --> radio" there is the possibillity of choosing Radiator among other Plugins like Infill, Cinergy, Dlink...
(at least in my version 3.0/3.1)

And because Radiator itself brings several plugins along, i was wondering if it was possible to get it working with the realtek usb dongle.
I guess the chipset was 2832U..

    I did see that link
Sounds like it is dooable using that plugin which is probably the fastest and easiest way to do it in centrafuse (possibly with a few minor limitations)
I can have a go at it but it would take me a while and I don't have a centrafuse atm...

If you would be able to that,
you would be my hero of the year

I still have the official trial for 1 month,
if you agree I would like to send it to you.
As long as it is the Trial, there isn't any violation of copy rights.

Just send me a mail if you want !
