4am MUSIC Console 1.5 (music jukebox)

The problem I had was with the folder browsing.. I don't have images in my folders, and it makes it very difficult to browse. Maybe I need to poke around for some settings. Is there a work around?

There's no real workaround, really you just need to download the images off the web and store them in their appropriate folders.

There are some tools that will do this for you, one commonly used with 4am Music Console is: Gotcha Covered It will search the web for the images and has many options to extract the search info from the folder names etc...

Never had someone compliment the website, so that's always nice.

Is there any way to just browse files/folders in a directory, as you would see them via. windows explorer? Because i prefer this much better than playlists. Maybe you could implement this feature into the next release?

I'm a little unclear as to what you mean. If you set 4am Music Console to display files by filename, and the startup folder to c: or something then each folder with music files would be displayed at the top for browsing and the files would be displayed by their filenames in the songlist list box, from which you can doubleclick the songs to add them to the queue/playlist.

If there is an alternate way you think would work better I'm always open to suggestions

First off, I'd just like to say that this software rocks!! I am definately going to use it after I make a new skin. I especially like the option to play song(s) or queue them in the playlist. Also, I'd just like to make one suggestion for its next release.

How about adding a "resumer" type feature that, upon load up, it resumes play back from the queued song list...? Similar to how a CD player would continue playing from its last position before turning off/on you car.

imo, adding a resumer would make this app perfect for car(touchscreen) use.

also, i was wondering if you were planning something like a video version of this prog... one with the same basic interface, but with a few changes of course, 4am video console, maybe....

The video console is in the works (design/layout stage at the moment). The first thing will be updating 4am Music Console with a whole new backend to better integrate with media console, and to setup stuff such as client/server functionality for the home user, and hopefully a database engine which would also allow for the resume functions.

There is definately a lot to look forward to, hopefully everyone will enjoy the new developments.
