Hackathon? In-car computing contest at SEMA?

Not sure if this is of any interest to anyone, but it caught my eye.

Looks like there is lots of promise, but still some work left to do on the hardware/interface. Check out this c-net review.

Has anyone tried one yet? Maybe we'll try to get one for review.

Have you used one yet Mad Jad? That cnet review was pretty harsh. I e-mailed some of my contacts at pioneer and didn't hear anything back.

Did anyone end up going to the hackathon? I'm curious how it went. We'd love to borrow a unit for testing but our contacts at pioneer have been MIA. What did you all think?

Didn't make it to SEMA this year. Note that the GoPro app does not have an API for use with PCs. Like everyone else, they're focused on iOS and Android. That might change now that Win8 is starting to roll out.

I went and won 10k plus a bunch of prizes, and Pioneer is going to market the app when I finish it.. could not have been a more successful trip
