    Winamp Plug-Ins

I got bored and went to Winamp.com and randomly downloaded 5 or so plugins, I found some awesome ones!! and cant believe there are as many plug ins as there are..

Can anyone recommend some kickass/unique plug-ins?
i am also looking for one that has a good simulation of a subwoofer.

    Thanks

Hi guitar; I've also played around with a bunch of different DSP plug-ins, and I can tell you, what I think, are three of the best. Be warned, the first two cost money, but are well worth the modest price. (and, I have no affiliation with these folks.)

iZotope Ozone : Absolutely the best one for pure fidelity. Takes some time to master all the controls, but so many presets are included, that you don't need to for a long time. (Izotope makes a well respected "Mastering" software suite with same name for around $300) The Winamp plugin is around $25. (maybe 20, can't remember.)

OSS/3D: By George Young. Only around $12. Excellent sound, a few good presets, a bit easier to set up than Ozone, and an absolutely killer sub-woofer simulator.

Hi Fi 3 Suround Effect: Not bad for the money. (free) Not as versatile as the ones above, but nice sound for free. Check it out.

oh and before i make a new thread, know of a good program or plug-in to balance the volume of my mp3's? I hate when i am listening to a nice loud high quality mp3 then on the next song there is a huge volume difference and i have to increase volume, vice versa........thanks again

I was just searching for "x" checking for an update on "x-plugin" and ran into something I had been looking for i think is useful,

Resumer: saves winamps state every "x" seconds so you can resume where you left off on a restart or something (i think its ideal if winamp is your shell)

Go here and search/read-up-on a program called MP3gain or ReplayGain or something. The reason I say "go there" instead of "just use it", is, it gets lots of good comments there, but I haven't actually used it myself. Its just not a big issue for me.
