    GeeXboX -- Linux OS/Frontend

    http://www.geexbox.org/en/index.html

Anyone use this before? It's a linux based multimedia interface. It works great, and boots up in like 15 sec, right off a CD, no need for a linux install! It has a nice clean interface, but I find the way it displays files is a bit tedious. It is opensource, a few minor tweeks and it would be a sweet interface. Check it out..

note: this is not for the epia 800 mobo's. Read the bugs section. The epia 800 bios' wont let you boot from cd if there is no hd. But i do remember reading bios updates on mini-itx.com

what did you think about the way in which it displays files, to be played?? I thought it was kind of tedious, having to sellect; open --- open files --- partition --- folder(s) --- files(s)

Then once you do get a file going, you loose that display screen, and you have to press another button, (o i believe) to get it back up.. It is neat though, that's for sure..
